Pauls story: Friendly, Neurodivergent-Aware Driving Education
A passion for supportive teaching and inclusivity.

About Paul - More Than Just a Driving Instructor
Learning to drive is about more than clutch control and mirrors. It's about confidence, processing, anxiety, and feeling safe. That's where I'm different.
Before becoming a driving instructor, I spent 13 years in education and over 20 years working as a therapist. I hold a diploma in Understanding Autism and have vast experience supporting people with autism, ADHD, and AuDHD. It's also widely recognised that I am AuDHD myself.
So I don't just teach you to pass your test. I teach you in a way your brain actually learns.
I know what it's like when instructions come too fast, when anxiety spikes at a roundabout, when you need a minute to process, or when you've been told you're "not getting it" when you just needed it explained differently.
My car is a calm, low-pressure, no-shouting zone. We go at your pace. We break things down clearly, visually, and logically. No judgement, no rushing.
Whether you're a nervous first-time driver, an autistic or ADHD learner who has struggled with other instructors, or someone returning to driving after a long break, you're welcome here.
